As a small child I was brought up to respect the sacrifices young men made during WWI and WW2, it was always impressed upon me to remember their youth and the lives they could have lived.
Latterly I have worked very closely with all branches of the Military, so when I heard about Dover Harbour Board’s plans to dredge the Goodwins, I didn’t think twice about joining the campaign team.
It has been a huge learning curve but I don’t regret it for a second, it is vital that we preserve our naval and aviation heritage out of respect for the many whose last resting place is on the Sands.
