I could not have said it better Jules.
This has been going on for a good while now, and Tim Smit has absolutely nailed it.
We should take a step back, mining the aggregate just for a some harbour works, in other words to line someones pocket by saving money is nothing like a good enough reason to destroy, or at best severely damage and desecrate such an important site as the Goodwin Sands, I just hope those wanting to profit from this watch, listen, think about it, and stop. The aggregate is available without touching the Goodwin Sands, it will just cost a little more.
A very small price to pay to protect such an important and delicate site.
